At Communities In Schools of Renton- Tukwila-Lake Washington our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We empower students to break through personal challenges and create access to resources and opportunities that help them overcome the barriers that stand between them and an equitable path to education.
 
Working directly in 33 schools in the Renton, Tukwila, and Lake Washington school districts, we support students who are furthest from educational justice. Our evidence-based model of Integrated Student Support, which is a student-centered approach. Firmly grounded in the research on child and youth development, it’s designed to promote educational, social and emotional development of students, and position them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
